Nintendo DS Review

The DS is the first portable game system to go 3-D, with the exception of Wing Commander: Prophecy for the Game Boy Advance. This is also the first portable game system to have a touch screen except for PDA games, and it also has a microphone and two screens. This game system is a pretty good size, even though it takes a little getting used to, especially if you want to use the touch screen for an analog stick as I do. Nintendo hasn't yet released many maintenance kits on this system, things like screen protectors, but they do have stylus packs.

When you get this system, also get the Pelican screen protectors, I think they are the only company yet to come out with DS screen protectors, and they are better than nothing. They worked fine for me. The system is designed well and looks good, and the stylus placement is placed well. The problem is with the thumbpad which you usually use as your thumb on an analog stick. I'm a righty, but if you are a lefty, it's hard to reach over with the pad because it is tied to the system on the left side, but you can easily just take it off.

The other problem is the multiplayer. There isn't much point with the wireless if it can only go 30-100 feet. Even though you can't get tangled up, so its better in that respect, I can't play against my next door neighbor without going to his house. I wish that they made this longer, and hope someday they do. I give this system 4.7/5 stars
