PowerColor Theater 550 Pro Capture Card (ATI Reference) vs Hauppauge PVR150 When it comes to Hardware Mpeg Encoding cards, HTPCnews has done comparo's in the past and the undisputed champion thus far has been the Hauppauge PVR150 which dethroned the much older Hauppauge PVR250 a few months back (why people still compare cards to such an old card is beyond us...) Now it's time to see if ATI's latest offering has enough juice to take down the PVR150... So if you are in the market to build an HTPC or similar MCE box in the near future, be sure to check out this latest review at HTPCnews to find out where your hard earned dollars should be spent.

For a single user perspective, see
http://lyberty.com/mediatech/pvr/pvr-150/index.html ... Personally, I am SO much happier with the free DVR I got with my DishNetwork subscription. I wasted TONS of time trying to get my pc trying to work like a dvr: my advice is to just get a free dvr and get on with your life!
