The evolution of the mouse pointing device has become more apparent in recent times. The move from a physical motion-tracking mechanism to an optical system was considered a technological boon. Logitech has now pushed that envelope even further. With their MX1000 Laser device, they boldly make the claim that even optical mice are now obsolete.
