Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D Review

What makes the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D stand out above its competitors is its ease of use. The interface is simply superb. Almost everything can be done with the dials, with this camera you won't need to dig your way through tons of menus on the LCD screen to alter a setting.

And that takes me to the second bonus, the LCD screen. Compared to Nikon and Canon digital cameras the LCD screen of the Maxxum 7D is a lot better. The battery life of this camera is also very good.

For people with shaky hands the Konica Minolta anti-shake technology will be an advantage. But please note that it reduces shake, it doesn't always eliminate it. So in the end having steady hands is still a bonus.

One of my complaints is that there aren't much lenses for the Minoltas. But this is slowly changing :-). The second downside is the focusing speed, it doesn't match with the Canon 20D nor the Nikon D70.

The Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D is a splendid digital camera, but like most things it has a few shortcomings. But still highly recommended.
