Right now is a pretty good time to be a fan of the Naval Simulation genre. Recently we had the brilliant Dangerous Waters with modern naval warfare and now we have the excellent Silent Hunter III from Ubisoft. Both games are outstanding but do have their flaws. Even with a few flaws SHIII is the best pure submarine simulation to date. The amount of depth that is already in this game is quite surprising really but there are few major areas of U-Boat warfare that are missing. We will go into further detail about what is missing a bit later on but firstly on with the good stuff..
