Many people here in the US aren't familiar with Xclef yet, but it's the brand name for MP3 players designed by MultiChannel Labs of Korea. Xclef introduced the HD-500 in the middle of 2003, and it was only available in Europe. The HD-500 turned out to be a popular alternative to pricey players like the Apple iPod. It finally made its way to the US in 2004 when Pogo Products started selling it under their own brand name, called the Ripdrive. There's a second vendor now, Digital Mind (DigMind.com), and they have the player co-branded as the DMC/Xclef HD-500.
