The new SATA 300 standard promises even more performance. Of course it requires a chipset capable of SATA 300 speeds and the nForce4 chipset is such a chip. The DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR motherboard I am using today is their top AMD Socket 939 board and features 8 SATA ports in total. 4 are via the Silicon Image 3114 controller and the other 4 via the NVIDIA nForce4 chipset.
