"Resident Evil! This is the nostalgic voice over when starting up the game for the first time that we remember so fondly. Just like so many other Playstation 1 era games, the original does not stand up to the test of time. The game mechanics like fixed cameras and standing still to aim are woefully outdated for 2020. That is a thing of the past, literally. Resident Evil 3 (2020) Remake is the first real one since the initial release in 1999. I say this because the Dreamcast, PC, and GameCube versions do not count, as these are just direct ports with the GameCube being the only one with updated HD graphics."
