"When we talk about PCI-Express 3.0 NVMe solid state drives the top-end when it comes to speed is around 3500 MB/s. Obviously with that being the top-end there are many affordable drives that sit below that mark. One such drive is the Lexar NM610, which offers sequential read and write speeds of 2100 MB/s and 1600 MB/s respectively. Based on those speeds we would call this drive an entry level drive, but it still is going to be much faster than a normal 3.5-inch solid state drive. Lexar has teamed the Silicon Motion SM2263XT controller with 64-layer 3D TLC NAND flash on this drive, let's see what it can do!"
