On May 10 Microsoft introduced Windows Mobile 5.0, the latest version of their operating system for PDAs and mobile phones. This new version of the Windows Mobile platform aims to merge the Microsoft Smartphone and PocketPC families, thereby offering a more consistent user interface as well as ease the workload of developers that wish to develop for both types of devices.
