"Last week NVIDIA officially launched their RTX 30 series starting with the GeForce RTX 3080. It provided great performance at a great price and really made gaming at 4K enjoyable. Now a week later we have the GeForce RTX 3090. The naming of the card might make you think it sits higher in the product stack (and it does), but it really sits in a category all its own. The RTX 3090 is not a replacement for the RTX 2080 Ti, but rather a replacement for the TITAN RTX. This is a TITAN-level graphics card, so while yes technically it is faster than the RTX 3080 it is really made for demanding content creation and intense data science workloads. This is made evident by its 24GB of GDDR6X memory. Beyond that the RTX 3090 features 10496 CUDA cores, 328 Tensor, and 82 RT cores. The one interesting thing about this launch is that NVIDIA has allowed add-in board partners to make custom cards. Previously all TITAN cards were the NVIDIA reference design. So today we are taking a look at the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity, which is currently the only RTX 3090 that ZOTAC is offering. It features stock clocks, but does come with a custom triple-fan cooling solution and some impressive RGB lighting. Let’s jump in and see what the RTX 3090 is all about!"
