"Assassin's Creed: Odyssey took players to ancient Greece when it released in 2018, which means that for years prior it brought its developers to that setting. While doing research into the mythology of that setting, the developers had some ideas for another game, and these ideas were ultimately approved, allowing the new IP of Immortals Fenyx Rising to be created. Though the title has changed since it was first announced, the game still takes us not to ancient Greece, but into the mythology itself, where players can meet the gods, fight the monsters, and create their own story to be told."
