"I am a huge fan of portable solid state drives. When they first started coming out they replaced the flash drives I used to carry with me. There were two reasons for this, speed and capacity. Portable solid state drives are extremely fast which makes them perfect for data transfers, a portable game drive, and even and editing drive. They are also available in large capacities, which is great for these applications as well. Today we will be taking a look at two portable solid state drives from Crucial, their X6 and X8. These drives are very similar, except that the X6 is a USB 3.2 gen 1 drive and the X8 is a USB 3.2 gen 2 drives. So the X6 will be the slower drive with speeds up to 540 MB/s, while the X8 is faster with speeds up to 1050 MB/s. Lets take a look at these drives and see what they are all about!"
