"A couple of years ago Gigabyte entered the memory market with their AORUS gaming brand. Simply called “AORUS RGB Memory” these kits were a bit different from others as they offered “dummy” sticks so you could have all of your slots populated. So if you bought a 16GB kit you would get two 8GB sticks and two “dummy” sticks that would still have RGB lights on them. Two years later Gigabyte we are basically on generation 2 of the AORUS RGB memory and while so kits still come with the dummy sticks Gigabyte has changed the design and really upped the available speeds. Today we will be taking a look at the GP-ARS16G48 kit which is a 16GB kit running at an impressive 4800 MHz with timings of 19-26-26-46 at 1.5V. No dummy sticks with this kit, but the new design is one of the best I’ve seen in a while. Let’s jump in and see what this memory is all about!"
