"AMD's X570 chipset has been around for a while now, but is still a solid platform to build a system on. Recently we've seen a sort of re-launch of the X570 chipset with X570S, with the "S" standing for silent. The biggest change with the X570 chipset is that it required active cooling, so on almost all motherboards at launch we saw an active cooling fan on the chipset heatsink. While X570S is essentially the same chipset, it does not require active cooling and we've seen quite a few new boards launch, or rather re-launch using this nomenclature. Today we are taking a look at the Gigabyte X570S AORUS Master, which brings with it a 14+2 digital power phase design, four PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, USB 3.2 gen 2x2, WiFi 6E and of course a passive cooling design.
