Revoltec Gamepad Precision Advanced review

Earlier this week I reviewed the Precision Pro mousepad from Revoltec and today I'm going to take a closer look at the Revoltec Gamepad Precision Advanced mousepad. The mousepad is made out of plastic and is designed to assure very precise movements in all directions at all times, while reducing friction resistance to a minimum.

Revoltec is a German brand owned by Listan. This company isn't really well known but you may already have heard from their be quiet! brand which ships silent power supplies.

The mousepad ships in this nice cardboard box:

Inside is the Precision Advanced mousepad. It's made out of black plastic and features a Revoltec logo in the bottom right corner. The mousepad is pretty big compared to regular-sized mousepads. It's 4.4cm wider and has 4cm more depth compared to the Revoltec Precision Pro mousepad. But it's only 1.5mm thin.

Revoltec also includes a piece of glide tape. You can cut some pieces of this tape and attach it to the pads on your pads, this will reduce friction and make your mouse glide more easily over the mousepad.

Lets take a look at the full specifications:
  • Material: Plastic
  • Dimensions: 319 x 265 x 1.5 mm
  • Compatibility: Compatible with all standard mouse types, including laser technology
  • Features:
    • Structured, smooth-running surface,
    • Highly precise movements and low friction resistance,
    • Including glide tapes for optimal slip characteristics,
    • Specially rubberised and slip-resistant underside

  • If the pad accidentally gets dirty it should be pretty easy to clean, it's made out of plastic so you can just wash off the dirt with some water.

The underside of the mousepad has dozens of tiny rubber bubbles to prevent the mousepad from slipping away on your desk.

    Testing
I tested this mousepad with my Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse and couldn't find any problems. The tracking and accuracy were great.

    Conclusion
While the Gamepad Precision Advanced doesn't ship with fancy extras like a LAN carrying bag, it performs just as good as the Precision Pro mousepad. It's a fairly big mousepad with a nice design. And one of the great things is that it can be found really cheap. In the U.S. you can buy it at Newegg for only $9.99 and in Europe it can be found for as low as 7.80EUR at a German webstore. That's a bargain for a good mousepad like this one.

    The Good Stuff
    - Good surface for great accuracy and tracking.
    - Fairly cheap
    - Anti-slip underside
    - It's big
    - Ships with some glide tape
    - Should be very durable

    The Bad Stuff
    - Hard to find in some countries.

I give the Revoltec Gamepad Precision Advanced a 9/10 and our Seal of Approval award.
