NVIDIA caught cheating again - Gears of War this time

Posted on Monday, November 12 2007 @ 16:11:27 CET by

What's up with NVIDIA's ForceWare drivers? Last week Elite Bastards found out NVIDIA is cheating in Crysis with the ForceWare 169.04 driver and now it seems the firm is also cheating in Gears of War.

Chip Hell made screenshots to compare the image quality of the Radeon HD 2900 XT and GeForce 8800 GTX in Gears of War and noticed big IQ differences.

Unfortunately the poser didn't mention which drivers he used and if the problem also occurs when you rename the game.
