How 70 percent less spam looks like

Yesterday media were reporting that the closure of webhost McColo dropped spam levels by up to 70 percent. I looked up some graphs from spam blocker SpamCop and these clearly illustrate a massive drop of spam since the webhost that serviced many spammers was cut off. Here's the weekly chart:



More charts can be found here. The 1-year chart reveals SpamCop is currently detecting a bit less spam than a year ago.

So that's the reason why I'm getting so much less spam this week. I though there was something wrong with my account.
