Looks like NVIDIA is trying to make a couple of bucks extra by shipping out green editions of its graphics cards. A couple of weeks ago we heard about the GeForce 9600 GT Green Edition, which uses 59W instead of 96W for the standard edition, and today VR Zone reports NVIDIA will add another green card to its lineup.

The GeForce 9800 GT Green Edition will reportedly be silently introduced in mid-March, this card will have a 600MHz core instead of 550MHz and 1375MHz shaders instead of 1500MHz.

The site also heard NVIDIA plans to rebadge its GeForce 900 GT to GeForce GTS 240 in April. Not much will change, expect the pricing; the card is expected to drop from around $120 to around $100.
