According to the specifications, the Mobility Radeon HD 4830 will have a core clocked between 450-650MHz with memory clocked at 1600-1800MHz. The computing power of this card will be between 512 GFlops to 768 GFlops. The faster Mobility Radeon HD 4860 will have a 650MHz core, up to 4Gbps GDDR5 memory and a computing power of 832GFlops. AMD says the Mobility Radeon HD 4860 will be slightly faster than the 55nm Mobility Radeon HD 4850.
The first ASUS notebooks with the Mobility Radeon HD 4860 and 4830 should arrive in Q2 2009.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4860 graphics will be featured in the forthcoming Asus K notebook.

The new 40nm production process allows notebook manufacturers to deliver more graphics horsepower in a smaller ASIC die size, giving people access to highly capable discrete graphics ideal for smaller notebooks. This milestone marks the fifth consecutive first-to-market process transition for ATI graphics processors.
