Posted on Friday, March 06 2009 @ 01:35:27 CET by

Despite growing rumors that Windows 7 will be released this year, Microsoft emphasized at CeBIT that the next version of its operating system is slated for the first quarter of next year:
Yesterday Microsoft Germany held a press conference about Windows 7. Several details of the forthcoming operating system were revealed. Rachel Linnemann, lead of Windows Commercial Group at Microsoft Germany, emphasized that Windows 7 will be released three years after Vista. Thus Windows 7 is most likely to become available in early 2010 and not for Christmas trade.
