When you run a pre-release version of an operating system you can run into some issues like Windows 8 RTM users currently experience with the embedded Flash version of Internet Explorer 10. The bundled Flash plug-in has critical security flaws that were updated by Adobe on August 21, but IE10 users have to rely on Microsoft to get the patch because Adobe's installer can't touch it.

ZD Net's Ed Bott asked Microsoft when they plan on patching the Flash vulnerability and got to hear that "a security update is coming through Windows Update in the GA timeframe." GA means General Availability so it appears Microsoft doesn't plan on fixing this security problem before Windows 8's launch on October 26th.
