Mozilla has uploaded a video clip to YouTube that shows Firefox OS running on a developer phone by ZTE. This new open-source initiative was first revealed in 2011 under the name "Boot to Gecko", it's a smartphone operating system that will let developers create new apps using open standards like HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.

The video clip below shows off Firefox OS' start screen, dialing screen, the contacts screen, Firefox browser, camera and gallery apps, the marketplace, and even some gaming.

The operating system doesn't look as responsive as it should be, but hopefully that will change as the project hasn't even hit alpha phase yet.
