LG demonstrated a prototype of an 18" OLED display that is flexible enough to roll into a tube that's a mere 3cm across. The screen has a resolution of 1200 x 810 pixels and uses a new type of polyamide film on the back to deliver substantially more flexibility and a thinner design than its predecessors.

On top of that, LG also revealed a new transparent OLED panel that has three times the transmittance of existing see-through LCD displays. LG Display's SVP and Head of R&D, In-Byung Kang, is confident that his company will be able to develop Ultra HD flexible and transparent OLED panels of over 60 inches in size by 2017.
