Microsoft announced the final version of Project Spark, a free game creation tool for Windows 8.x and the Xbox One. Spark is free to use, it offers a game creation sandbox environment geared towards the average gamer. Games can be created on your own or with up to three friends in multiplayer mode, and everything you create can be shared with the community. The project is monetized via add-on packs, templates, building blocks and other DLC that is sold via the Microsoft Store.
Project Spark is billed as a collaborative experience. Players will be able to create games on their own or with up to three friends in multiplayer mode. They can share their creations with the community, download what others have made, and even modify or otherwise "remix" that content themselves.
