Asian tech site HKEPC is among the first to overclock an engineering sample of Intel's upcoming Core i7-6700K "Skylake" processor - which is expected to be launched early next month at Gamescom.

Using a voltage of 1.35V, the site was able to overclock this 4GHz chip to 5.2GHz with air cooling. The system was not stable at that frequency but with a frequency of 5GHz and 1.312V the site was able to finish the Super Pi 32M test. The site measured the voltages with a multimeter as CPUZ 1.72.1 was unable to read the operating voltage properly.
