So last night Apple teased a bunch of products including a new iMac Pro, a 10.5" iPad Pro and a HomePod speaker with Siri. I'm getting a bit more selective about the news I'm posting on DV Hardware so I will no longer cover these general Apple announcements in detail as it's usually just more of the same.

What did peak my excitement is that Apple revealed the specifications of two Vega-based video cards. The new iMac Pro will come with Radeon Pro Vega 56 and Radeon Pro Vega 64 GPU options.

The Radeon Pro Vega 56 has 8GB HBM2 while the Radeon Pro Vega 64 doubles the memory to 16GB HBM2. Presumably, the numbers refer to the CU count.

The slide also reveals the Radeon Pro Vega offers 400GB/s memory bandwidth and 11 teraflops single-precision and 22 teraflops half-precision computing power.

Apple says the iMac Pro starts shipping in December.
