Austin Evans uploaded a picture that shows off the underside of AMD's upcoming Ryzen Threadripper processor. This new HEDT CPU adopts the LGA interface and requires a new X399 motherboard with the 4,094 pin SP3r2 socket.

The chip is expected to arrive this summer and as you can somewhat see on the photo it's a multi-chip module that basically consists of two eight-core Ryzen 7 dies with an Infinity Fabric connection.
