ASUS has ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1070 Ti cards with overclocked Boost

The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti cards aren't really that interesting in terms of design so we're not going to cover every single card that shows up in our mailbox today. All cards we've seen today use coolers that have been used before for GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 boards.

ASUS does have two cards that are of interest to us though, this is because these are the only GeForce GTX 1070 Ti cards with a factory overclock. We don't know why but it seems ASUS was the only NVIDIA partner that got a permission slip to clock its GTX 1070 Ti cards higher than the Founders Edition.

The ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Ti ROG STRIX GAMING will stick to the reference base clock of 1607MHz but will have a Boost clock of 1721MHz, a slight improvement versus the 1683MHz of all other models introduced today. Furthermore, ASUS will also have the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti ROG STRIX GAMING ADVANCED, which will take the Boost to 1759MHz.
