Via a Twitter announcement, Intel Graphics Software Engineering Director Lisa Pearce confirms that the upcoming Gen11 graphics will support integer scaling for upscaling. This feature was requested by users in a recent Reddit session and Intel's engineers took a look at what could be done. Pearce said Intel was unable to find a good solution for Gen9 graphics as the hardware lacks support for nearest neighbor algorithms. The driver update that adds this functionality will be rolled out in late August.
