A leaked slide from Intel suggests the chip giant sees its size as one of its biggest advantages versus AMD. Since the introduction of the first Zen architecture, AMD is taking the fight back to Intel and the latter has been scrambling to come up with a response a it's still stuck with variants of the years-old Skylake architecture on improved versions of the 14nm node.

Intel sees price cuts as one of the big ways to meet the competitive threat from AMD. In the leaked slide, which got published by AdoredTV and reportedly originated from Intel, the chip giant claims it will offer a total of $3 billion in discounts this year to make it's chips more attractive. The slide points out that Intel has huge financial horsepower, as AMD is a much smaller rival with a net income of just ~$0.3 billion in 2018.
