Star Citizen wormhole travel and dynamic weather shown off (video)

At Cloud Imperium Games' CitizenCon 2019 event, the firm showed off some new footage of Star Citizen. The gameplay footage revealed a whole new planet called "microTech" as well as several new features like wormhole travel, dynamic weather, climates, fog, and a better transition from space to the surface.

Moving onto the most eye-catching section of the demo, it was obviously the wormhole and the quick look at the new system - seen beginning at the 1:10:00 mark in the video below. This is the first time the studio has shown the game reaching past its original Stanton system and breaching into a brand new solar system, Pyro in this case.

The new planet, the Planet Tech v4 updates, in-game currency and purchase persistence are expected to be rolled out by mid-December. Other improvements like the dynamic weather, the Pyro system, and the jump points are expected in 2020.
