EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 KO hits $279 Radeon RX 5600 pricing

Last week at CES 2020, EVGA revealed its GeForce RTX 2060 KO video card. This new variant in EVGA's RTX 2060 lineup is a budget model that uses a cheap cooler and a cheap PCB to achieve lower pricing.

While marketed for $299 at CES, it seems the cards are actually selling for less. TechPowerUp notes Newegg is selling the RTX 2060 KO for just $279.99, which is the launch price of AMD's soon-to-be-out Radeon RX 5600! The same price can be found via EVGA's webshop. Definitely a very attractive price for a RTX 2060 card.
Over the weekend, EVGA formally launched the RTX 2060 KO, and already offered pre-order discounts on both its own web-store, and popular U.S. retailer Newegg, with the base RTX 2060 KO going for $279, and the factory-overclocked RTX 2060 KO Ultra priced at $299, with a $20 "instant rebate."
It will be interesting to see if or how AMD will respond to this. The Radeon RX 5600 will ship on January 21.
