Will Crysis get a remake?

Is Crytek working on a remake or remaster of Crysis? Released 13 years ago, Crysis was extremely hardware demanding but it was also the most visually stunning game ever released. Even today, "can it run Crysis?" is still a popular meme.

Now footage from the original Crysis game at the end of a new CryENGINE showcase trailer sparks speculation that the developer may be working on an either a remake or a remaster.



This is the second potential hint at a new Crysis. Back in August, Crytek posted a CryENGINE 5.6 tech trailer. The final scenes of that trailer show an island that looks similar to the setting of the original Crysis game. No hard evidence yet, but I think a lot of people would be excited to play a new version of Crysis that takes full advantage of what's possible with the current generation of high-end graphics hardware.
