Crytek delays Crysis Remastered after leaked trailer disappoints

Crytek was supposed to publish a trailer of Crysis Remastered on July 1st. That didn't happen though as footage of Crysis Remastered leaked ahead of the planned launch of the trailer. Expectations of Crysis Remastered were high. The original game was one of the most visually stunning titles of its time, so surely Crytek could deliver a visual masterpiece using the latest graphics technology?

Unfortunately, the leaked trailer severely disappointed. Viewers comment they were surprised by the bad graphics, with some gamers writing that it looks like "Crysis with the lowest settings." Others point out that there are mods for the original game that make it look a lot better than the current state of Crysis Remastered.

Seeing how poorly the leaked trailer was received, Crytek decided to pull the launch of its trailer and immediately announced that Crysis Remastered will be delayed by a couple of weeks "to make a few more improvements."
