Here's something unexpected. Ahead of the September 1st reveal of the Ampere-based gaming cards, NVIDIA just released an eight-minutes long YouTube clip that discusses the "remarkable art & science of modern graphics card design."

The video clip confirms NVIDIA's new Founders Edition video cards will use a 12-pin PCIe power connector. This connector is compatible with existing PSUs as NVIDIA's Founders Edition cards will include an adapter for 8-pin PCIe power cables. It's now also 100% official that the Founders Edition cards have an irregular-shaped PCB design.
