Newegg: Demand for GeForce RTX 3080 was hotter than Black Friday

Newegg is one of the largest computer hardware webshops in the US. Via the firm's Twitter handle, Newegg send out a message regarding the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 situation. As you may have noticed, cards sold out extremely fast, leading to lots of speculation and rumors.

Stock sold out extremely fast and Newegg claims they received more traffic on the launch morning of the RTX 3080 than on Black Friday! Limited inventory was sold out in five minutes and Newegg assure that bot protection was in place to only humans (and not price scalpers) could place orders.
