Memory prices were expected to soar this year but the COVID-19 pandemic crushed that forecast. Now DigiTimes reports that memory module makers expect a further drop in pricing in Q4 2020 and a stabilization of the market in Q1 2021.
Memory ASPs may stop falling in 1Q21: Memory ASPs are likely to fall through the fourth quarter of 2020, but there are signs that they will stabilize in the following quarter, according to sources at memory module makers.
Either way, DDR4 pricing is really cheap right now which is ideal if you're planning a new build or an upgrade of your existing rig.
