NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Mobile lineup has 28 variants

There are a total of 28 variants of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3000 series for the laptop market. VideoCardz has a full overview over here. With the RTX 30 generation, NVIDIA is no longer using Max-Q and Max-P branding, instead OEMs can pick between various TGP configurations.

NVIDIA has requested laptop makers to list TGP values on their websites, but laptop makers are ignoring this plea. As a result, it's a lot like a silicon lottery for consumers. For example, some laptops could have a GeForce RTX 3080 with a slower configuration than the fastest possible RTX 3060 laptop GPU:
The specifications posted by NVIDIA on the official website are simply put: useless. Now thanks to the ComputerBase article we have a full list of RTX 30 variants. Which one will be used by notebook manufacturers is completely up to them, however, as shown above, they simply chose not to. For this reason, you may find a laptop with GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q which is slower than RTX 3060 Laptop GPU.
