NVIDIA counters X1800 launch with ForceWare 81.84

Posted on Wednesday, October 05 2005 @ 15:47:51 CEST by

It looks like NVIDIA is trying to disrupt ATI's X1K family launch a bit by launching a new beta driver which adds support for Black and White 2, mixed vendor SLI support, performance enhancements for dual-core processors and some features to counter ATI's Avivo.

Features:
  • BETA driver to support the availability of the game Black and White 2
  • Mixed vendor support for NVIDIA SLI
  • Performance enhancements for Dual-core CPUs
  • PureVideo high definition de-interlacing support
  • Usability enhancements when connecting to an HDTV
  • Microsoft DirectX 9.0c and OpenGL 2.0 support
  • You can download the driver here.
