Apple unveils fifth generation iPod with video

Like expected Apple today launched a new iPod. This is the fifth generation iPod and it can play video! Apple says the device playes music videos, video Podcasts, home movies and television shows.

The new 30GB iPod is 31 percent thinner (the 60GB one is only 12 percent thinner) and they both feature a world clock, stopwatch and screen lock feature. It's available with a 30GB or 60GB HDD and features a 2.5-inch LCD display.

The 30GB model retails for $299 and the 60GB model for $399. The 30GB model features up to 14 hours of battery life for music playback and the 60GB model features up to 20 hours of battery life for music playback.

Just like the nano the new iPod models are available in black or white. The 260k colour display has a widescreen 320 x 340 resolution and support H.264 and MPEG4 at 30 frames per second. There's also a video out to watch your videos on a bigger screen.
