We already were aware that this card would be launched today for a couple of weeks and today ATI officially launched the Radeon X1900, Radeon X1900 CrossFire and the All-In-Wonder X1900.

The new Radeon X1900 (codenamed R580) GPU features 48 pixel shaders and according to ATI it delivers three times the shader performance than the previous generation. Combined with the cards' high clock frequencies, the architecture is capable of more than half a TeraFLOP of shader computations.

There are two versions, you have the Radeon X1900 XT and the Radeon X1900 XTX which offers a bit more horsepower. For the ones who want a CrossFire system there's also the Radeon X1900 CrossFire mastercard.

The Radeon X1900 XT, Radeon X1900 XTX and Radeon X1900 CrossFire are shipping immediately from ATI and its board partners around the world. The Radeon X1900 XT has a suggested retail price of USD$549 and the Radeon X1900 XTX has a suggested retail price of USD$649.

The Radeon X1900 CrossFire has a suggested retail price of USD$599. ATI says it has already shipped many thousands of Radeon X1900 GPUs to partners and into the channel. Some stores have already started offering these cards last week.
