Mobile Internet access growing

A recent study by Ipsos Insight shows about 28 percent of mobile phone owners worldwide have browsed the Internet on their cell phone.
The study found robust growth in many global markets including France, the U.K. and Japan. Today, four in 10 adults browse the Internet on their wireless handset in Japan, double the rate from 2003.More details over at Digital Home Canada.
Globally growth was driven by older users (age 35+) which suggests that surfing the Internet on a mobile phone is emerging as a mainstream activity and is no longer dominated by early adopters.
