Intel launches Prescott (90nm), Pentium 4 3.40GHz and Pentium 4 EE 3.40GHz

Intel today officially unveiled their 90nm Prescott processors at 2.80GHz, 3.00GHz, 3.20GHz and 3.40GHz. Further they launched two new Northwood (130nm) processors: the Pentium 4 3.4GHz and the Pentium 4 3.4GHz Extreme Edition.

Intel Pentium 4 processors built on the 90-nm process retain the multitasking capabilities of Hyper-Threading (HT) Technology, and include new features such as enhanced Intel NetBurst™ microarchitecture, a larger, 1 MB Level 2 (L2) cache and 13 new instructions.
