reports Intel has confirmed that its Postville SSDs will be based on 25nm MLC flash memory, these disks will be launched in the final quarter of this year, and will include a X25-V 80GB drive.
This will be Intel’s second value SSD mobile drive and it will succeed the 40GB X25-V 34nm Postville. Intel also plans a 40GB version of 25nm drive but this one should not be arriving before Q1 2011.
For some reason 1.8 inch 25nm drives in 160GB and 300GB will also get delayed to Q1 2011 and with their introduction Intel will retire the X18-M 34 and 50nm drives.
Was hoping for the 300gb SSD's to arrive sooner :(
