AMD lowers Sempron processor pricing

AMD yesterday changed the pricing of its socket 754 Sempron processors:
AMD’s price cuts are aimed to accelerate its K8 CPUs’ adoption in the entry-level market, said motherboard makers. First-tier motherboard makers may soon begin marketing Socket-754 K8 models with an FOB (free on board) price of less than US$50, down about 5%, the makers believe.
