Space Shuttle won't be able to finish ISS

Michael Griffin, NASA's new boss, claimed the Shuttle won't be able to finish the International Space Station (ISS). The Shuttle still needs to perform 28 flights before it retires in 2010, but according to Griffin it will only be able to do about 15-23 flights. The 5-13 other planned missions will need to be done with alternate lift vehicles. The space agency is expected to consult space station partners on alternatives once they are approved by the Bush administration. More info and valuable comments at Slashdot
