Epic and Mozilla reveal web-based Unreal Engine 3 port

The Tech Report writes Epic and Mozilla have created a new port of Unreal Engine 3 using a highly-optimized version of JavaScript, enabling it to run in web browsers without the need for third-party plugins. The video below explains it took Mozilla and Epic engineers only four days to make the code work over the web.
According to the Mozilla blog, "developers will soon be able to explore limitless possibilities when it comes to porting their popular gaming titles to the Web." Presumably, any game based on Unreal Engine 3 can be piped through an Internet browser. There's no word on which games will take the plunge, however. Mozilla's blog post indicates only that Disney, EA, and ZeptoLabs are employing the same JavaScript mojo to improve performance in existing web titles.
