More NVIDIA Ampere leaks, VideoCardz
got its hands on photos and details of the Gainward Phoenix RTX 30 series. The Phoenix RTX 3080 and Phoenix RTX 3090 share the same board and cooler design, it's a 2.7-slot card with a triple-fan cooler and a full cover grey-colored backplate. The PCB is shorter than the cooling solution so the third fan sticks out a bit.
The spec sheets we obtained clearly confirm the specifications of both cards. The RTX 3090 gets 5248 CUDA cores, 24GB GDDR6X 19.5 Gbps memory and 350W total graphics power.
The RTX 3080 will feature 4352 CUDA cores, 10GB GDDR6X 19 Gbps memory and 320W TGP. Both cards are factory overclocked. The RTX 3090 Phoenix Golden Sample has a boost clock of 1725 MHz and RTX 3080 Phoenix GS features a boost of 1740 MHz.
NVIDIA will reveal Ampere on September 1st and an announcement from the firm's add-in board partners is expected on the same date. Actual product availability is unknown, it's speculated that this will be at least a week later, perhaps a couple of weeks extra for the custom design models.
