My experience with Alpha heatsinks started with the PAL35T. I still remember some of the reviews of the day, raving about how huge it was, and about the monstrous 60mm, 26cfm fan it was equipped with, not to mention how it pretty much blew away the competition when it came to cooling prowess. Many of the same things were said a couple years later when they released the venerable PAL8045, which even today still has an almost cult following, but since then, Alpha has been pretty much quiet. Finally though, Alpha fans have something to cheer about with the release of the PAL8150, for K8 (Athlon 64) processors.
